Data Deletion
SpeakToText gives you separate controls for disconnecting a provider and requesting complete account deletion. Disconnecting stops future access immediately. Complete deletion removes data held by SpeakToText after identity verification.

1. Disconnect one connected service
Open SpeakToText, select Assistant, open Connections, locate the exact Gmail, Outlook, Notion, or HubSpot account, and select Disconnect.
SpeakToText deletes the stored OAuth authorization for that connection and stops future access. Where supported, SpeakToText also requests provider token revocation. You can separately revoke SpeakToText from the security or connected-app page of the provider account.
Disconnecting one provider does not delete your SpeakToText account or unrelated connections. Limited historical approvals and receipts may remain so you can audit actions already completed.
2. Request complete account deletion
Email support@speaktotext.org from the email address used for your SpeakToText account with the subject "Delete my SpeakToText account". State whether you also need a data export before deletion.
We verify account ownership before deletion. Do not send passwords, OAuth tokens, payment-card details, or government identifiers.
After verification, we remove the account, active sessions, connector tokens, Knowledge data held by SpeakToText, connector action metadata, and associated receipts, except records that must be retained temporarily for legal, fraud-prevention, billing, or security obligations.
3. Remove local data
Local transcript history, settings, and locally stored Knowledge remain on the device until you clear them in SpeakToText or remove the application data during uninstall.
Deleting the cloud account does not automatically erase files, exports, drafts, calendar events, spreadsheet rows, CRM records, or messages already created in an external provider. Delete those records from the provider that owns them.
4. Timing and confirmation
We respond to verified deletion requests within 30 days. Complex legal or billing retention requirements may take longer, and we will explain any delay.
When deletion is complete, we send confirmation to the verified account email unless the address itself has already been removed or delivery is not possible.
